Industry Action Posters.

As part of a screenprinting studio class, this series of posters are part of a larger research project that asks; how could co-operative structures build a utopian design studio? The three posters respond to three distinct issues by first raising a question to engage with an audience, and then proposing a solution that a new—or ‘utopian’—industry should adopt. These posters have been displayed around the university as a way to directly communicate with students who are about to enter the design industry, acting to raise the issue and to start a discourse. To keep the posters consistent, a set of restrictions were created for the designs. Each poster must: Ask a question, propose an answer, have a clear short message to take away, balance large and small type, and include photography.
