A folio of design work by James Meadowcroft
Back Home ↦

I’m a ‘multidisciplinary’ designer. My practice is driven by research. It takes a strategic approach to outcomes.

Design is iterative. Design is collaborative. Design is hard to define.

I’m a graphic designer, web developer, photographer, book designer, user experience designer, videographer, project manager, researcher, strategist, brand developer and marketer.

Design is inherently multidisciplinary. Design is the mixture of specialities. Design is fun to be a part of.

This is my folio.

During a period of study in Prato, Italy, I participated in a group project that investigated the persona 'Cultivore'. A cultivore was someone who travelled in the pursuit of culture and we were challenged with representing the city of Prato to this persona.

This project looked into who could be the UnCultivore? We designed a series of souvenirs to give to travellers so they could say they went to Prato without ever having to go. Our souvenirs were given out to tourists in Florence for free. Of course, many tourists were hesitant to pick up the false souvenirs.
